Red flags: when an agent, an app or an order looks wrong

The quiet signs that come before an agent fails, habits that limit the damage, and how to avoid copied apps and refused goods.

Signals that an agent is in trouble

Agents rarely announce that they are failing. The warning signs are quieter, and on a phone they are easy to scroll past. These are the red flags we would act on, in roughly the order people notice them.

  1. Tickets take longer to answer each week, and replies become copied templates.
  2. Withdrawals from your balance are delayed or quietly blocked, while top-ups still go through instantly.
  3. Items sit in the warehouse past their stated processing time with no explanation.
  4. The agent pushes large balance top-ups with bonuses that seem out of proportion.
  5. The app stops being updated while the website keeps changing, or the other way round.

Any one of these can have an innocent cause. An unresolved issue is a reason to pause further spending and ask for a documented explanation. Check the condition, costs and available options before deciding whether to ship or request a refund.

Orders that are paid for and never bought

The failure people fear most is the order that is paid for and never placed with the seller, or placed and then never refunded when the seller cancels. Forums call this an agent eating your order. This guide has no representative data establishing how often this happens or which sign comes first.

Protect yourself with small habits. Keep your balance close to what you need for the next order. Screenshot the order page after paying, with the status and amount visible. If a refund is due, ask for it to go back to the original payment method rather than to the agent balance; LitBuy, for example, states that refunds go only to the original method. LoongBuy and the other featured agents show order status in the account, so a stalled order is visible if you look.

Installing an agent app from the right listing

Search an app store for an agent's name and you may see several results with similar names and icons. Install the one the agent's own website links to. Superbuy's user guidance page, for instance, links to one App Store listing, while a search for the name in the US store also returns other apps with similar names that the guide does not mention.

An app-store listing establishes only that the app was listed when checked. It does not establish whether ordering, withdrawals or support currently work. Begin with the provider’s genuine website and current notices, then verify the account task you need before adding money.

Never install an agent app from a file sent in a chat or a link in a comment section, and never type your agent password into an app you reached that way. If an agent offers an Android download on its own site, as Lovegobuy does, start from the agent's home page you typed yourself. The same applies to text messages about parcels that ask you to pay a fee through a link: check the tracking number in your agent account instead.

Chain of three checks before installing an agent app: start on the agent website, follow its store link, compare the app name and developer page
Start from the agent's own site, every time.

Goods an agent will refuse, and parcels customs may stop

Each of the six agents keeps a public list of items it will not handle. The lists overlap: weapons, drugs, some batteries and liquids, and goods that infringe trademarks. Items that copy a brand's logo or name may be declined when the agent tries to buy them, stopped in the warehouse, or taken by customs in your country, and the agent's compensation rules generally do not cover goods seized for that reason.

Browse by category and inspect the exact seller listing. A category photo does not establish authenticity, accepted shipping status or compliance with an agent’s restrictions. Verify those questions with the responsible service before paying.
